Pauline Anna Strom To Release First Album In 30 Years

'Angel Tears In Sunlight' follows on from a 2017 anthology of the US synthesist's old work

RVNG Intl. will release the first album of new music by Pauline Anna Strom in more than 30 years early next year.

Titled Angel Tears In Sunlight, the album follows on from the 2017 release of Trans-Millenia Music, an anthology of the American synthesist’s older work that also arrived via RVNG Intl.. The album was produced in the wake of that release after Strom "sensed the universe telling her to return to music" and was made in the San Francisco apartment where Strom has lived for almost four decades.

Speaking about her work with synths, Strom says: "It’s the only way this stuff can be pulled out of myself. It couldn’t be done without this machinery, because there’s no other way to draw and capture these frequencies into sonic interpretation." You can check out the first taste of Angel Tears In Sunlight via a video for album track ‘Marking Time’ above.

RVNG Intl. will release Angel Tears In Sunlight on February 19, 2021.
