Yo La Tengo Unveil New Song, ‘Bleeding’

It features alongside a number of covers on a forthcoming EP from the band

With the release of their new EP, Sleepless Night, approaching next month, Yo La Tengo have shared a new track called ‘Bleeding’.

It’s the sole original track on the forthcoming EP, appearing alongside covers of tracks by The Byrds, The Delmore Brothers, Bob Dylan, Ronnie Lane and The Flying Machine. You can listen to the new song above.

The tracks on Sleepless Night were originally released as one side of an LP included within a limited-edition catalogue for a Los Angel County Museum Of Art exhibition, which marked the first international retrospective for the Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara. A longtime fan of the band, Nara worked with them to choose the EP’s songs, and Matador’s new single-sided 12" release of the EP comes with original cover art by Nara.

Matador will release Sleepless Night on October 9, 2020.
