Diamanda Galás will debut an audiovisual installation tonight (July 23) called Broken Gargoyles.
The work-in-progress installation is part of SO⅃ OS, Fridman Gallery’s ongoing series of concerts from the empty gallery, and comes on the eve of the release of Galás’ new album for solo piano, De-formation: Piano Variations.
The installation is a remote collaboration between Galás, artist and sound sound engineer Daniel Neumann and video artist Carston Bright, with a guest reading of excerpted pages from Das Fieberspital by artist Robert Knoke. It’s specified that the piece is "not a live performance."
You can get tickets for Broken Gargoyles, which will debut tonight at 8pm BST, here.
Intravenal Sound Operations will release De-formation: Piano Variations on July 24, 2020.
