PJ Harvey Reissue Campaign Continues With ‘Rid Of Me’

The full album is back on vinyl for the first time since its original 1993 release, while a collection of demos is also due

Rid Of Me, PJ Harvey’s second album, is being reissued this August.

Marking the second chapter in a reissue campaign of the artist’s full back catalogue, which kicks off on July 24 with debut album Dry, the Steve Albini-produced Rid Of Me will be newly repressed to vinyl for the first time since its original 1993 release. You can watch a fully restored version of the video for single ’50ft Queenie’ above, with the reissue campaign of Harvey’s work set to follow through this year and next.

4-Track Demos, originally released in October of 1993, is also being reissued. A collection of demos written and recorded at Harvey’s home throughout 1991 and 1992, the self-produced release presents some of PJ Harvey’s earliest songs in their simple first incarnation.

UMC/Island will reissue Rid Of Me and 4-Track Demos on August 21, 2020.
