Shackleton And Wacław Zimpel Team Up On LP

'Primal Forms' is Shackleton's second outing on Shapednoise's Cosmo Rhythmatic album

Shackleton and Wacław Zimpel are releasing an album together.

Titled Primal Forms, it marks the first time the pair have collaborated on record having first come together for a live appearance at Unsound festival last year. Above, you can hear lead track ‘Primal Drones’.

The three-track album marks Shackleton’s second appearance on Shapednoise’s Cosmo Rhythmatic label, following on from last year’s Reach The Endless Sea by Tunes Of Negation, a project comprised of Shackleton, Heather Leigh, Takumi Motokawa, and Raphael Meinhart.

Primal Forms is also Zimpel’s second release of 2020, having put out a collaborative EP with James Holden, titled Long Weekend, in March.

Cosmo Rhythmatic will release Primal Forms on July 31, 2020.
