Karenn have shared details of a new two-track 12", called Music Sounds Better With Shoe.
The A-side cut, ‘On Request’, is based on the closing track of the duo’s improvised live set during a 2014 Boiler Room broadcast. You can hear clips of both tracks, which follow on from the duo’s 2019 album Grapefruit Regret, above.
"[On Request] is a tune that we’ve been asked about a lot over the years and we did try on several occasions to nail down a studio version but we could never land on something we were happy with," Pariah, one half of Karenn, said in an Instagram post. "Glad to say, though, that at the end of last year we got together and finally cracked it! I’m really pleased that we’re releasing this and, for us, the main motivation to get it done was because we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past nine years that we’ve been doing this project."
Voam, Karenn’s own label, will release Music Sounds Better With Shoe on June 12, 2020.
