Squid Share New Track, ‘Broadcaster’

It follows on from the band's signing to Warp Records in March

Squid have shared their second track of the year, ‘Broadcaster’. You can listen to it above.

"Lyrically the track was inspired by the visual artist Naim June Paik and his TV Garden installation," the band’s drummer/vocalist Ollie Judge says. "I thought it blurred the lines between a dystopian and utopian vision. I imagined what it must be like living synonymously amongst nature and technology in the most literal way I could imagine, with TVs towering over me amongst forests."

The release of ‘Broadcaster’ follows on from ‘Sludge’, the Brighton band’s first track for Warp Records, which came out in March. Warp Records will release a 10" vinyl record with ‘Sludge’ and an extended edition of ‘Broadcaster’ on June 26.
