Having recently signed to Alcopop! Records to release their forthcoming album, Sudden Fictions, Bo Ningen have now shared an early demo recording of them rehearsing. You can hear it exclusively above.
"What we learn from the past is really important and not to be forgotten especially from our own personal history," the band say of the recording. "During this lockdown time we dug out the very first rehearsal takes of Bo Ningen. In fact to be more precise this is ‘PROTO BO NINGEN’ material as Monchan hadn’t joined us yet for these nostalgic recordings.
"I hope you’ll be as surprised as we were when we listened back to these. At that time we felt a rather deep level of discomfort with the indie music scene so what you’re about to watch is our intention to counteract it our first collective inner explosion we’ll never forget."
The band’s fourth album, Sudden Fictions follows on from their last full-length effort, 2014’s III. Speaking about the album, guitarist Kohhei Matsuda says: "After years of countless bifurcation into sub-genres, music has been cut down to flakes. Music is suffocated. This album is a challenge to bridge between now and the time before the first bifurcation. To alternate the future."
Alcopop! Records will release Sudden Fictions this spring. It’s preceded by lead track ‘B.C.’ which you can listen to here.
