Björk Plots European Orchestra Tour

She'll be heading to Moscow, Paris and Berlin, amongst other locations this summer

Björk has announced details of a special orchestra-focused European tour.

Set to run through July, Björk will perform arrangements put together by herself alongside a full orchestra. Kicking off in Moscow at the city’s Crocus Music Hall on July 2, the tour will then take her to Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena (July 6), Berlin’s Waldbühne Open Air (July 9) and Paris’ Siene Musicale (July 17 and 20).

Finally, she’ll be heading to the UK to headline Cheshire’s Bluedot festival, which takes place at the grounds surrounding Jodrell Bank Observatory. That show, on July 26, will see Björk joined by Manchester’s Halle Orchestra.

Tickets for the Bluedot show can be found here, while general sale tickets for the rest of the tour will go on sale this Friday (February 28) at 10am local time.

The run of dates follows on from Björk bringing her ‘Cornucopia’ theatrical show to the UK and Ireland at the tail end of last year.

Last month, it was also revealed that Björk had produced an AI-assisted score for a New York City hotel’s lobby, made from 17 years worth of choral recordings.
