Helm Residency At Cafe Oto This Weekend

This Friday and Saturday night, come down to the mean streets of Dalston for Helm Fest!

Luke Younger, aka Helm, is chilling like a resident this weekend at Cafe Oto in Hackney and he’s invited a heavyweight supporting cast along for the ride.

On Friday night he teams up with Foetus mainman JG Thirlwell and in-demand avant ensemble Apartment House, with support from Andrew Chalk & Tom James Scott, and Anna Peaker. On the Saturday his live collaboration is with the Valerio Tricolori duo, with support from Teresa Winter and the impeccably named DJ Lara Croft’s Dentist.

Thirlwell worked as an arranger on some of Helm’s recent album, Chemical Flowers. Speaking about the hook up he said: “The intention to use strings wasn’t to explore a neo-classical route but instead make something a bit darker, dramatic and even psychedelic.”
