Hyperdub signee Klein delivers a head-spinning remix of Grimm Grimm's 'Kazega Fuitara Sayonara'

London-based, Tokyo-born musician Koichi Yamanoha – who operates under the alias of Grimm Grimm – is set to release a remix 7" single later this week for his track ‘Kazega Fuitara Sayonara’.

Stepping up to remix the track are Hyperdub signee Klein and experimental hip-hop artist Killer-Bong. You can hear Klein’s eerie, minimalist remix of the track via the video premiering above. The visual has been put together by London-based filmmaker Kenichi Iwasa, who is also the man behind much-loved London event Krautrock Karaoke.

For the video, Iwasa filmed footage in Tottenham using Super 8, third generation iPhone and 4K Camera, and applied further glitchy SFX work courtesy of William Cunningham.

The original track originally came out in 2014 via Kevin Shields and Charlotte Marionneau’s Pickpocket Records label in collaboration with Honest Jon’s. The remix 7" is out on Thursday (June 20) via bridFriend (the Osaka-based label of goat and YPY’s Koshiro Hino), and can be pre-ordered here.
