Massive Attack have taken to social media to tease new music.
Writing on Instagram, the group said: “From next year, we will release a cache of work created in the recent past. Tracks will be available physically and digitally via a new label.” They added, however, that this music will not be available for streaming via Spotify, in opposition to the platform’s business practices that many believe short-change artists, as well as CEO Daniel Ek’s continued investments in artificial intelligence military services.
The band also directed fans to a new WhatsApp channel where there will be “direct announcements on 2026 releases and special performances”.
The new material will mark Massive Attack’s first music since 2020 EP Eutopia, which followed 2016’s ‘The Spoils’, ‘Come Near Me’ and Ritual Spirit EP. Their last album, Heligoland, came out in 2010.
