Membranes have confirmed details of their follow-up album to 2015’s Dark Matter/Dark Energy.
Titled What Natures Gives… Nature Takes Away, the album, set for release in June, is preceded by a ballet-inspired video for new track ‘A Strange Perfume’, which you can watch above.
What Natures Gives… Nature Takes Away is a double-album and sees the band making use of a 20-piece choir to offset their darker sounds. The album features guest appearances from Shirley Collins, Chris Packham and Jordan and Kirk Brandon, with each track exploring different themes related to nature.
This is Membranes’ second studio album since they reformed in 2010 at the request of one of their former support bands, My Bloody Valentine. The band are set to tour the UK in support of the new album’s release which is set for June 7.
