Blood Orange, the moniker of Dev Hynes, has a new album on the way.

Marking Hynes’ first full-length record under the alias in six years, the album is said to have been created amid his journey through grief. It’s also about his experiences of growing up in Essex, “and the way music has inspired, healed, and interwoven itself through Hynes’ life”, a press release said.

The record features guest contributions from Lorde, Caroline Polachek, Tirzah, The Durtti Column, Mustafa, Daniel Ceasar, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates and authour Zadie Smith, among others.

You can listen to two songs from the album – ‘Mind Loaded’ (with Caroline Polachek, Lorde and Mustafa) and ‘Somewhere In Between’ – below.

RCA will release Essex Honey on August 29, 2025.
