Matmos have announced a number of European tour dates alongside a new track from their forthcoming album Plastic Anniversary.
The album’s title track, which you can hear above, is the third to be unveiled from the record and comes ahead of its release on March 15.
Plastic Anniversary is made entirely from sounds sourced from plastic objects, and was put together, a press release says, as a celebration of the duo’s "own anniversary as a couple" while exploring "the world’s relationship to plastic."
Amongst the objects used to make the album are "Bakelite dominos, Styrofoam coolers, police riot shields, polyethylene waste containers, PVC panpipes, pinpricks of bubble wrap, silicone gel breast implants and synthetic human fat."
The duo will tour Europe in June, taking in a show at London’s Jazz Cafe on June 11. Find the full list of dates below.
