Underworld and The Necks recently got together in the studio to improvise and record some material together.
They came out with ‘A Very Silent Way’ which you can hear via the video above. The two-day recording session is captured in the video above which was put together by Simon Taylor from various hours of filming and a number of stills.
"I first worked with The Necks in 2009 and fell in love with their extraordinary playing," says Underworld’s Karl Hyde. "I felt I had to talk with Rick [Smith of Underworld] to discuss a future collaboration, it took us a while."
Underworld’s Rick Smith adds: "Karl and I spent two glorious days with The Necks at AIR studios in London exploring long improvisations based on our music for Drift and I had the time of my life with these incredibly talented, beautiful people. This initial release represents just a small part of that body of work."
