EFG London Jazz Festival has begun announcing the extensive list of acts playing its 2025 edition this November.
Leading the first lineup announcement are Tune-Yards – who will perform music from forthcoming album Better Dreaming at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall – and Dee Dee Bridgewater – who will bring her WE EXIST! show to the Barbican.
Tanita Tikaram will also return to the festival for the first time in eight years for a show at the Royal Festival Hall, while jazz piano artist Hiromi is lined up to play at the Barbican. The first lineup announcement additionally includes the likes of Makaya McCraven, Bilal, Chris Thile and trombonist and singer Rita Payés, with more acts set to be added to the bill in the coming monthjs.
As ever, the festival will take place across several London locations, including the aforementioned Royal Festival Hall and Barbican, as well as Union Chapel, Islington Assembly Hall and Village Underground.
In a statement, EFG London Jazz Festival Director Pelin Opcin said: “EFG London Jazz Festival 2025 is all about celebrating global talent, with incredible artists from the UK and around the world performing in venues across London this November. We’re excited to announce the first artists in this year’s lineup, from emerging musicians to iconic performers. As ever, the festival will feature never-before-seen performances, including one-off collaborations and new commissions.”
