Ukrainian producer Andriy K., one of the artists on the 2024/25 SHAPE+ roster, has released a new album, Poetry Of The Vanished Territories.
Arriving as part of the ambient music-based series of Liminal releases from UK label Oscilla Sound, the five-track record is described by the imprint as “an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine’s landscapes”, which aims to capture memories of these places amid their ongoing destruction at the hands of Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country.
The album and its corresponding visuals, provided by artist pryyvd, were created using open source data and field recordings from the corresponding locations. You can listen to the full release below.
Andriy K. is one of 54 acts who are being spotlighted through 2024 and 2025 as part of the latest SHAPE+ roster of artists. SHAPE+ is a European Union-funded platform for innovative music and audiovisual art, which supports various Europe-based artists working within electronic music each year via festival and radio appearances, as well as other ventures, across its Europe-wide network.
Poetry Of The Vanished Territories is out now on Oscilla Sound.
