Tremor, the five-day festival which takes place on the Azores island of São Miguel, has confirmed the first wave of acts playing its 2025 edition in April,

Portuguese music will be represented by sound artist Ana Lua Caiano, as well as Romeu Bairos, who performed as part of Portugal’s Eurovision entry in 2021 and will soon release a debut album blending contemporary sounds with Azorean musical traditions. The music and legacy of 1980s cult pop icon José Pinhal will also be celebrated via a performance by José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience, a tribute band formed of musicians from Porto’s underground and experimental music scene.

Beyond that, the festival will host Nordic experimental trio FIRE!’s blend of free jazz, psych-rock and noise; Congo-based Afrofuturist collective Fulu Miziki; and Brazil’s DJ Giovanna, who mixes tribal house and techno with Brazilian funk. Further names will be added to the bill in the coming months.
