Todd Barton Signs To Blue Tapes

Buchla synth legend and Ursula K. Le Guin collaborator Todd Barton will release music via Blue Tapes

The Blue Tapes label has announced the signing of Buchla synth player Todd Barton.

Barton’s work was given increased visibility earlier this year via a reissue of Music and Poetry of the Kesh, an album created alongside Ursula K. Le Guin and originally released in the 1980s, by Freedom To Spend.

As part of Barton’s signing to Blue Tapes, the label will release a new piece by him called Multum in Parvo. It has been created using the Epoch Modular Benjolin and Buchla Music Easel.

It will be released on CD with artwork by the artist Ursula Barton – who is also Barton’s daughter and was named after Le Guin. The release is set for October 5 but you can listen and pre-order here now.
