SHAPE+, the European Union-funded platform supporting forward-thinking music and audiovisual art, has confirmed full details of a radio network that will help showcase the work of its roster of artists.
Having recently confirmed the full list of 54 SHAPE+ artists for 2024/25, the organisation has now launched its radio network, which covers 14 stations from 14 different nations. Each month, two SHAPE+ artists will each be invited to create an exclusive hour-long broadcast to be aired on as many as all 14 of the stations. Artists can submit mixes, longer original compositions and live recordings to be aired in their hour.
The radio network lineup takes in Resonance FM (United Kingdom), Ola Radio (France), Cashmere Radio (Germany), Radio Tropiezo (Mexico), Kiosk Radio (Belgium), Fade Radio (Greece), Radio 101 (Croatia), Radio Relativa (Spain), The Lake Radio (Denmark), Radio Kapital (Poland), Ida Radio (Estonia / Finland), Radio Punctum (Czech Republic) and Radio Urban (Kosovo).
As previously confirmed, SHAPE+’s existing partnerships with Rinse FM and NTS Radio will also confirm with occasional special broadcasts related to the platform’s roster of artists.
Stockholm-based composer John Chantler and Latvian-Estonian producer Sofi took care of the first SHAPE+ radio broadcast on August 15, and Ukrainian DJ Andriy K. and Latvian artist Lénok are listed to handle it in September. Further broadcasts will be announced in the coming months.
