Grumbling Fur’s Alexander Tucker will release his first solo album in six years late next month, and he’s now shared another track from the record, called ‘Visiting Again’.
The track features on Don’t Look Away which will be released by Thrill Jockey on August 24. It follows on from lead single ‘Objects’ which Tucker released in May.
Tucker views Don’t Look Away as the final part of a trilogy which began in 2011 with his album Dorwytch and was followed up by his last release, 2012’s Third Mouth.
"The composition across these three albums feels like a move away from my earlier records towards something clearer and traditional," Tucker explained when announcing the album, adding that the new record still maintains his "love of manipulating source material into new shapes and forms".
The album takes in guest turns from Nik Void on vocals and Tucker’s Grumbling Fur collaborator Daniel O’Sullivan who contributes viola. It was recorded across an extended period in London and Zürich. It can be pre-order ahead of its release next month here.
