Nina Kraviz’s трип label has unveiled details of its 20th release, a various artists concept album featuring music from the label boss herself as well as Aphex Twin under his Universal Indicator alias.
The record, titled Don’t Mess With Cupid, ‘Cause Cupid Ain’t Stupid, marks the first time Richard D. James has released music as Universal Indicator since 1995. His track, ’15 C7′, is a ruthless acid techno cut.
Elsewhere, the compilation takes in music from Icelandic producers Bjarki, Biogen and Exos, hardcore producer Marc Acardipane (also known as Pilldriver) and Russian artists Nikita Zebelin, PTU, Roma Zuckerman and Shadowax. You can check out Shadowax’s track, ‘I Want To Be A Stewardess’, above.
Don’t Mess With Cupid, ‘Cause Cupid Ain’t Stupid follows on from previous various artists concept albums on трип, namely 2016’s Sleep Not Found and When I Was 14. It’s out on July 20.
