Julee Cruise Recordings To Be Reissued

Sacred Bones will release a selection of early recordings from Twin Peaks theme singer Julee Cruise on vinyl for the first time

Julee Cruise, noted for singing the theme for Twin Peaks, is to be the subject of a new reissue release by Sacred Bones Records.

The label will release her album The Voice Of Love as well as a trio of demos on vinyl for the first time in August. The tracks were originally recorded during the era in which she contributed to the soundtrack for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.

The Voice of Love, originally released in 1993, features songs taken from a number of Lynch productions, including the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. The demos, meanwhile, offer an insight into early versions of her tracks ‘Floating’, ‘Falling’ and ‘The World Spins’, which would go on to form part of her 1989 album Floating Into The Night. You can hear the demo for ‘Floating’ above.

The reissues will be available from August 17 and can be pre-ordered here and here.
