Liz Harris, aka Grouper, will release a new album next month.
The album, entitled Grid Of Points, will be released via Kranky, the label which has also released her last two albums. Above, you can hear lead track ‘Parking Lot’.
The tracks on Grid Of Points are said to be inspired by "the idea that something is missing or cold," with Harris describing them as "small texts hanging in space".
Harris continues: "Grid Of Points is a set of songs for piano and voice. I wrote these songs over a week and a half; they stopped abruptly when I was interrupted by a high fever. Though brief, it is complete. The intimacy and abbreviation of this music allude to an essence that the songs lyrics speak more directly of."
Grid Of Points is out on April 27 and can be pre-ordered here.
