It may only be August, but Bob Dylan is set to release his first ever Christmas album later this year, according to reports.
The legendary singer-songwriter is preparing an LP of traditional Christmas tunes and original comnpositions, and has already recorded four songs: ‘Must Be Santa’, ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’, ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ and ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’.
Dylan biographer Scott Marshall told the website Bullypulpit that he was not suprised by Dylan’s decision to release a festive record.
"A Christmas album by Bob Dylan in the pipeline doesn’t really shock me. At first glance it may sound bizarre, but I don’t think Dylan really cares what his detractors might make of it", he said.
