Numero Group have reissued Irv Treibel’s field recording series Environments via an iOS app.
The collection was originally released across several records between 1969 and 1979 and documented various nature sounds. The new app from Numero Group is available to download on both iPhones and iPads.
The app takes in 14 hours of Treibel’s recordings that he collected to put the series together, and allows the user to customise their listening experience. It also comes with a biography of Treibel and information about the recordings. You can find out more here.
