Debut LP from Saul Adamczewski and Ben Romans-Hopcraft's exotica group. New video for Teenage Toy

Teenage Toy by Insecure Men on VEVO.

Exotica/ twisted easy listening group Insecure Men have released a video to ‘Teenage Toy’ – the follow up single to ‘Subaru Nights’ – and have also announced their debut album, which will be released by Fat Possum on February.

‘Teenage Toy’ – like most of the tracks of the album – was co-written in terms of lyrics with Saul’s Fat White Family bandmate Lias and is one of the oldest of the Insecure Men tracks, with it originating as a track by the Saudis, the band that also featured FWF’s keyboard player Nathan.

Speaking about the track, Saul said: "It’s got hit written all over it, this one! The lyrics to the chorus was something Lias had written years ago about his first ever girlfriend. We used to play that song as a Saudis song and it just died a complete death then but I always knew it was a great hook and had never really been given the chance it deserved. So, with that in mind, we just set about remaking it as a mad, cartoon pop song. It was difficult to record and getting it to the right level of bounciness was hard. It didn’t really reveal itself until the end of the session."

Insecure Men are on tour in the UK during March. Full interview with Saul coming soon
