Dave Grohl Honoured With His Own Alley

Drummer's hometown street named after him

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl received the ultimate honour over the weekend when he returned to his hometown: his own street.

Grohl was given the keys to city of Warren, Ohio before watching as Market Street Alley was rechristened Dave Grohl Alley.

He told the crowd: "I had to come. It’s such a huge deal.

"When I was a kid, I used to love to come here. This is one of my favourite places in the world."

Grohl also took to the stage to play drums for local band Love Turns Hate as well as performing songs from his own back catalogue including ‘My Hero’ and ‘Everlong’..
