A new EP Lost Library, featuring artists including Jane Weaver, Noveller and Death And Vanilla covering tracks by the likes of Ennio Morricone and Bert Jansch.
Above, we’re premiering the opening cut from the three track EP, which sees the mighty Jane Weaver joined by labelmates Virginia Wing covering a track by the beloved Danish musician Suzanne Menzel.
A looming re-interpretation of the Menzel classic, Weaver and the band have ramped up the electronic power on their version of ‘I Feel It Starts Again’, tempered only by Weaver’s superb, sweeping vocals.
Elsewhere on the EP, Noveller will be covering Ennio Morricone’s theme from The Thing, while Death And Vanilla have re-interpreted Bert Jansch’s ‘Moonshine’ into a piece of "echoey, soft-to-the-touch analogue minimalism".
The EP is out via Fire Records tomorrow (November 24). Pre-order it here.
Jane Weaver is playing live at Manchester’s Ritz on Thursday November 30, for tickets, click here.
