‘Day Is Coming’ was one of the highlights of 2016’s self-released Salt by Irish musician Katie Kim, and now just over a year on from the album’s release, she has shared a video for the track, which is premiering above.
The video sees the track’s wintery guitar chords and Kim’s airy vocals, telling stories of betrayal and sacrifice, given visual accompaniment by monochrome, shadowy shots of rural landscapes. It’s the second video to be shared from the album, and was made by Kim herself alongside Thom McDermott and videographer Jamie Goldrick. It’s described as an "ode to the surrender preceding internal chaos".
