Rocket Recordings have announced details of an upcoming Gnoomes remix album, featuring re-interpretations of tracks from their recent album Tschak!. Premiering above is a remix of ‘One Step’ from the album by fellow Rocket Recordings act Josefin Örhn + The Liberation.
The remix album, aptly titled Tschak Remixed!, follows on from the release earlier this year of the band’s second album on Rocket Recordings. After the band released the album, the label says that a number of artists got in touch to get their hands on the stems and make their own interpretations of certain tracks.
From there, the band and label decided to open up the record to label mates and friends to remix the album, with the likes of Ulrich Scnauss, Julie’s Haircut and Josefin Örhn + The Liberation contributing to the project.
"We love Gnoomes and we intended to do an entirely different remix but we liked the original so much that we ended up using loads of it," says Fred Joelson of Josefin Örhn + The Liberation.
Tschak Remixed! is set for release on December 1 both digitally and on limited edition cassette. You can pre-order it here.
New Gnoomes music is promised for 2018, while the trio will also play as part of Rocket Recordings’ 20th anniversary weekender at London’s The Garage which takes place from March 9-11. You can find out more details on that here.
