AEG Presents have secured the exclusive rights to host events at East London’s Victoria Park next year.
The company struck a deal with Tower Hamlets Council which will see festivals such as Field Day and Lovebox, which have taken place at the East London park for a number of years, move elsewhere in London. Field Day have already announced that their plans to host their 2018 edition at another location, though exact details have not yet been confirmed.
AEG have confirmed their plans to hold a ten-day festival in Victoria Park called All Points East, which will run from May 25 – June 3, with The xx and The National set to headline. Many more acts are yet to be announced.
A press release announcing the new festival stated that AEG Presents and Goldenvoice "were awarded the Victoria Park contract by Tower Hamlets following an open tender process".
"The council is pleased to be working with AEG, who were selected following a rigorous procurement process to deliver some exciting events in 2018 which can be enjoyed by local people, Londoners and visitors from across the UK," said Tower Hamlets mayor John Biggs.
