The Horrors have announced details of their upcoming fifth studio album titled V. You can hear the album’s lead track, ‘Machine’, above.
The album has been produced by Paul Epworth and is set for release on September 22. The ten tracks are said to move between various sounds and influences.
"It is a risk," says Faris Badwan discussing the band’s experimentations on the record. "But life isn’t much fun without risk. It’s the antithesis of being creative if you know what you’re going to be doing every time."
Keyboardist Tom Cowan adds: "It’s natural, if you do see yourself as an artist, to progress and not play it safe. Bowie pre-empted the modern condition of not being able to stay in one place for very long, and I get frustrated with bands who stay still. Because then it does become a career."
The band will preview the album’s release with a small show at London’s Omeara on July 11, while a full UK tour has been announced for October in support of the new album. You can find their full list of tour dates place the text you want as hyperlink here and pre-order V here.
