Posthumous Alan Vega Album Announced

The record is the first posthumous release from the Suicide frontman

The first posthumous album from Suicide’s Alan Vega, following his death in July last year, has been announced in the form of an LP he recorded with his wife Liz Lamere between 2010 and 2016. You can listen to lead track ‘DTM’ (short for ‘Dead to Me’) below.

Titled IT, the album is due to be released on July 14, and was recorded up until his death little under a year ago. Vega is said to have found inspiration for the album in "religiously consuming global news and taking frequent late-night walks alone throughout the streets of downtown New York."

His wife says: "Alan’s life force was so strong because he believed in his vision and purpose. He understood we can’t control much of what happens to us, or in our world, but we have free will and the power to go on and stand for what we believe in."
