The Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band
The second annual Camberley International Festival will dedicate a weekend to free music and entertainment on June 9-10.
On Saturday 10 June, a night of intimate shows at The Carpenter’s Arms will be headlined by a reformed Martin Stephenson and the Daintees, while the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band will perform a series of shows on Park Street.
Friday 9 June, meanwhile, sees a set at the Central Bar from the Carl Barat-produced Guildford band BlackWaters and Annabel Allum, with support from Sophie and the Giants and King Knit.
That day will also see a literary programme throughout the afternoon, curated and hosted by Cardiff author John Williams.
Williams will host Q+As with ex-NME and Loaded journalist James Brown, who will discuss his new book about 5-a-side football, Above Head Height, and with the award-winning Daniel Rachel.
Rachel will discuss Walls Come Tumbling Down, his discussion of the Rock Against Racism, 2 Tone and Red Wedge movements. Travis Elborough and David Randall will also appear.
