The Selecter And More For Liverpool Reggae Fest

The second edition of Liverpool's Positive Vibrations Festival Of Reggae will bring Jah Shaka, The Selecter and more to the city next month.

The Selecter and Jah Shaka Sound System will headline Positive Vibration – Festival of Reggae 2017 in Liverpool from 9-10 June. It’s the second outing for the event, which was named Best New Festival at last year’s UK Festival Awards.

2-Tone legends The Selecter, fronted by Pauline Black, will headline Saturday, while Jah Shaka’s London-based roots reggae sound system will play a five hour session on Friday.

Other acts include Saxon Sound System, Don Letts and Aba Shanti-I, and soundsystems from such outstanding labels as Soul Jazz and Trojan.

Positive Vibration is a reggae and Jamaican cultural heritage festival featuring music as well as an art exhibition, titled ‘The Art Of Reggae’.

There will also be a panel discussion with Pauline Black, Steel Pulse’s Mykaell Riley and guitarist Dennis Bovell, chaired by John Robb, aswell as a number of arts workshops.

It will span three venues across Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. Click for tickets and more information.
