While 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Paul Weller’s debut album with The Jam, In The City, he’s just announced a new solo album entitled A Kind Revolution. Above and below, you can check out lead singles ‘Long Long Road’ and ‘Nova’.

A Kind Revolution is Weller’s 13th solo studio album and he immediately started work on it following the release of 2015’s Saturns Pattern. The album takes its title from a line in ‘The Cranes Are Back’, featured on the new record. The album was recorded with Weller’s regular touring band while soul singers PP Arnold and Madeleine Bell provide backing vocals on some of the tracks.

The Strypes’ guitarist Josh McClorey plays on three of the album’s tracks while Weller lured Robert Wyatt out of retirement too to sing and play trumpet on ‘She Moves With The Fayre’.

The album is out on May 12 and Weller will tour in support of its release across UK arenas in 2018, culminating in a show at London’s The O2.
