An early release from Helena Hauff, entitled A Tape, will soon be reissued on San Francisco-based label Dark Entries.
The release, which was firstly only available via cassette, will see the tracks made available on vinyl for the first time. A Tape is made up of 12 early recordings from Hauff, captured between 2011 and 2014 and originally released on the Handmade Birds label.
The record sees Hauff using the Roland Alpha Juno 2, Juno 60, TB-303, TR-707 and TR-808 across the various tracks, creating a sound that is characteristically gritty and somewhat rougher than would later be found on her debut album proper Discreet Desires. Dark Entries will release A Tape on April 10. Check out clips for the release above.
