The Jesus and Mary Chain have unveiled new single ‘Always Sad’, the latest taste of their long-awaited 7th studio album Damage And Joy.
You can hear the new single below via Spotify, a hazy, 60s pop inflected duet between frontman Jim Reid and guest vocalist Bernadette Denning.
It’s the second taste of their new record following the release of ‘Amputation’ last December. The album was produced by Youth, who also plays bass on the record, and is released on March 24.
Of the new album, Reid said: "The interesting thing about this record is what comes out of the speakers. To make a good record is an achievement if you’re twenty-two, but to do it in your fifties, the way we are, I think is a minor miracle."
The Jesus and Mary Chain will support the new record with a lengthy UK tour, beginning on March 23 in Newcastle.
