Blondie have announced a new album, entitled Pollinator, and streaming above is the lead single, ‘Fun’.
The track is an infectious slice of pop as you might expect from Debbie Harry and precedes the release of the album which is set for May 5. Pollinator is the band’s 11th studio album and was the last recorded at New York’s famous The Magic Shop studio before its closure, noted as the studio at which David Bowie’s final two studio albums were recorded.
Collaborators on the album, contributing production, writing and instruments, include Dev Hynes, Dave Sitek, Johnny Marr, Laurie Anderson, Sia and Charli XCX. A limited edition 7" single of ‘Fun’, available in a run of 1000, will be made available to order from independent retailers from today, while you can pre-order the upcoming album here. UK and European tour dates in support of the new album will follow later in the year.
