Counterflows is a festival in Glasgow featuring a fine array of alternative talent across its four days and they have just announced their first wave of acts including appearances from Mark Ernestus’ Ndagga Rhythm Force and Midori Takada who makes her UK debut there.
Also playing are Ashley Paul, Farmers Manual, Glorias Navales, The Modern Institute, Svitlana Nianio, Olimpia Splendid and Takahiro Kawaguchi & Utah Kawasaki. Counterflows’ organisers describe it as a festival celebrating underground music, "featuring a wide array of artists bound together by their questioning spirit and refusal of easy categorisation".
The festival will take place across a set of carefully selected Glasgow venues and organisers promise next-to-no scheduling clashes with more special line-up additions promised in the coming months. Counterflows takes place from April 6-9. For more information and tickets, head here.
