The final David Bowie studio recordings will be released next month as part of the soundtrack for musical Lazarus which opens at London’s King’s Cross Theatre on November 8.
The soundtrack’s release will feature versions of a number of Bowie’s tracks all featured in the musical and performed by its cast while a second disc accompanying its release will contain three of the final studio recordings that Bowie made alongside Tony Visconti. The three tracks were recorded alongside Donny McCaslin and his quartet, the same band that played on Bowie’s ★ album.
The Lazarus cast album will be released on October 21. Meanwhile, E! reports that part of David Bowie’s ashes were scattered at Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert after his godchild was given permission to do so by Bowie’s widow Iman
