Many years after initially promising to remaster My Bloody Valentine’s full catalogue, it’s finally happening with the band’s releases set to be reissued on vinyl.
In 2012, the band release remastered CDs of their albums Loveless and Isn’t Anything, alongside a collection of rarities and EPs. The albums were then reissued on vinyl in 2013 but they were not remastered, a promise that the band had made more than a decade earlier.
Now it’s happening with Shields in the studio working with the original analogue recordings. A post on Creation Records’ website says this is evidence that the reissues "must finally be in progress" – let’s just hope finishing it doesn’t take quite as long as the band’s last self-titled album.
