Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have revealed the first track to be taken from their forthcoming new album in the form of ‘Jesus Alone’ – you can listen to it above.
The album itself, entitled Skeleton Tree, will be launched globally next week on September 8 in cinemas where fans will get to hear the album in full for the first time alongside a visual film, called One More Time With Feeling. Further screenings will take place in the days after its premiere. No other tracks will be shared from the album before the screening in cinemas next week.
The film is directed by Andrew Dominik and will be presented in 3D black-and-white with Dominik delving into the backdrop of the album’s recording and production – it intersperses the band’s performances of the tracks with interviews and footage shot by the director, as well as Cave’s narration and improvised thoughts.
