Morrissey Criticises Trump Over Shooting

Describes presidential candidate as "anti-gay and pro-gun"

Morrissey has criticised Donald Trump’s response to the Orlando shootings describing him as “anti-gay”.

Writing on fan site True To You, he criticises Trump’s pro-gun stance that if there would be fewer casualties if more people were armed with guns.

“This, of course, is his way of avoiding any words of support to the Orlando gay community (it is their own fault for going into a nightclub without hand grenades,” says Morrissey. “Donald Thump would therefore probably claim that the massacred children of Sandy Hook would still be alive today if they’d had the common sense to carry sawn-off shotguns to school.”

He concludes that Trump’s response to the shooting at gay nightclub Pulse, which left 49 dead and 53 injured, is “anti-gay and pro-gun possession”.
