Of Montreal singer Kevin Barnes and MGMT member Andrew VanWyngarden are working together on a new project.
In a recent interview with The Quietus, Kevin said: "We [him and Andrew] have been collaborating- very slowly -on a new project together. But he’ll keep going off on tour, and then I’ll go off on tour, and we’ll lose contact.
"Hopefully we’ll be able to work again this fall because we’ll both be free."
Speaking about the sound of the tracks so far, he said: "It’s the music you’d expect us to make together. It’s kind of poppy and funky, a lot of 60s influences; not a crazy departure from MGMT or Of Montreal.
"But it’s still in its infant stages, so it’s hard to say what it might leap off into."
