Overnight Film Festival This Month

Film festival will transform Eastbourne hotel's ballroom into a bespoke cinema for weekend of screenings

Later this month Eastbourne hosts the inaugural edition of the Overnight Film Festival giving film fans a communal cinema experience at the Queens Hotel on the seafront over the course of one weekend.

Curated by the team behind the festival alongside actor Ariane Labed, writer/broadcaster Emma Dabiri and filmmaker Jenn Nkiru, the hotel’s ballroom will be converted into a bespoken cinema which will screen a range of films old and new, many of which off rare 35mm prints. Among the films being screened are 1970 independent film Wanda and the 2011 Spike Lee-executive produced Pariah.

Tickets allowing attendees to stay at the hotel have already sold out, but you can purchase individual day tickets or non-sleepover weekend tickets here. It all takes place from February 26-28. You can find more information here.
