Prolific Japanese artist Masami Akita, aka Merzbow, will team up with Eiko Ishibashi for a new album set for release this March via Editions Mego. You can check out an excerpt of a track from it, called ‘Slide’, above.
The album, titled Kouen Kyoudai, marks his first release for the label since 2012’s collaborative album Mer Mar, alongside Lasse Marhaug. Jim O’Rourke, who Akita previously worked with on 2011’s One Bird Two Bird has been enlisted for production duties on the new album.
