Jarvis Cocker is heading up the line-up for a one-off event which will see a variety of musicians teaming up to celebrate Thunderbirds and a number of other shows to have emerged from the studio of Gerry Anderson.
Cocker will join forces with conductor Charles Hazlewood at Bristol’s Colston Hall on December 1 to sing in celebration of Thunderbirds with music supplied also from Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp instrumentalist Will Gregory. It’s all in celebration of the show’s 50th anniversary and will also see music played from Fireball XL5, Stingray, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Joe 90. “Jarvis shares our passion for this music, and is as delighted as we are about putting it back on the map,” said Hazlewood of the performance.
